SUMMARY:Friendship Shelter Outreach
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, October 24th at the church to prepare meals for the Friendship Shelter in Laguna Beach! The Friendship Shelter is residential shelter for homeless adults and works with its residents to secure housing and employment or other income. This is an amazing opportunity for individuals or the whole family to serve our community. We will meet at the church at 3:30pm to begin dinner prep. We will be assembling sandwich meals for the residents of the shelter. Pastor Nate will then deliver the meals to the shelter to be distributed that night. The meal prep time will last approximately an hour and a half. \nTo sign up\, please email Pastor Nate (nate@ccpacifichills.org) or call him at the church at (949) 362-7475 Ext. 27. Read below for additional details: \n\nTASKS: We will be preparing meals for approximately 25 residents of the Friendship shelter. Duties will be assigned the day of the event. Tasks could include things like slicing tomatoes\, putting sandwiches together or assembling the meal boxes. \nAGE: Children seven years of age or older are welcome to serve alongside their parents. \nWHAT TO WEAR: It is best to be prepared with closed-toe shoes appropriate for standing for long periods and clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Breaks are available if needed. \nFOOD: All food that we will be preparing and serving will be provided by Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills.

DESCRIPTION:Get involved in the Christmas season this year in a truly impactful way through Operation Christmas Child! OCC’s mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys\, hygiene items\, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship each shoebox outside the United States to children affected by war\, poverty\, natural disaster\, famine\, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. It’s an incredible thing to be a part of! \nLike every year\, we’ll be distributing and collecting packed shoeboxes to be used in OCC’s mission. It’s a fun thing to do with friends or family. You could even host a shoebox packing night at your house! DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, August 29th at the church to prepare meals for the Friendship Shelter in Laguna Beach! The Friendship Shelter is residential shelter for homeless adults and works with its residents to secure housing and employment or other income. This is an amazing opportunity for individuals or the whole family to serve our community. We will meet at the church at 3:30pm to begin dinner prep. We will be assembling sandwich meals for the residents of the shelter. Pastor Nate will then deliver the meals to the shelter to be distributed that night. The meal prep time will last approximately an hour and a half. \nTo sign up\, please email Pastor Nate (nate@ccpacifichills.org) or call him at the church at (949) 362-7475 Ext. 27. Read below for additional details: \n\nTASKS: We will be preparing meals for approximately 25 residents of the Friendship shelter. Duties will be assigned the day of the event. Tasks could include things like slicing tomatoes\, putting sandwiches together or assembling the meal boxes. \nAGE: Children seven years of age or older are welcome to serve alongside their parents. \nWHAT TO WEAR: It is best to be prepared with closed-toe shoes appropriate for standing for long periods and clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Breaks are available if needed. \nFOOD: All food that we will be preparing and serving will be provided by Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills.

Each activity during the week is purposefully planned to get you out of your normal routines and challenge you into something more significant\, more adventurous\, and more intentional. Our volunteers strive to keep the teaching relevant and Biblically-based\, and they each look for ways to encourage students to have deep discussions\, prayer\, and quiet times of reflection. We want to nurture your journey with Christ\, and lead you to make your faith your own. \nWe also think campers should have loads of FUN while encountering their Creator\, so we offer tons of options for recreation and outrageous group games.
