DESCRIPTION:Join us in the early morning as we serve at the OC Rescue Mission on Monday\, January 23! Orange County Rescue Mission has a number of programs through which they serve the Least\, the Last\, and the Lost. The primary focus of each program is to share the love of Jesus Christ with each man\, woman\, and child who comes to them for a hand up out of homelessness. \nWe will be serving early in the morning at OC Rescue from 5:30am-8:30am. We will be meeting at OC Rescue Mission at 5:00am. DESCRIPTION:Winter Camp is THE place for your 6-12th grade campers to get away from the academic and social pressures and instead focus on their identity in Christ and place in God’s family of believers. During our 3-day weekend of camp running Friday through Sunday\, students will discover who God has made them to be through teaching from God’s Word\, small group discussions\, and relevant worship. \nOf course\, no Winter Camp is complete without the fun! Creative games and interactive team challenges ensure there is never a dull moment. Campers have the freedom to explore the many seasonal recreation options at Forest Home all weekend long. (Hot chocolate at Stagecoach\, Zip lining through the trees\, or Phase Ten by the fireplace\, anyone?) Campers will enjoy living in community\, making new friends\, and creating memories that will give them confidence as they navigate the changes and challenges that middle school so often brings. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n

Their Homeless Multi-Service Center is open Monday-Friday\, including holidays\, 6:30am – 4:30pm serving meals\, providing showers\, laundry\, access to county mental health clinics and much more. We will be meeting at the church at 7:00am to load the backpacks and then carpooling to MHA to set up tables in their parking lot to distribute the backpacks. SUMMARY:Christmas Caroling At Whispering Fountains
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday\, December 12th as we sing Christmas Carols at the Whispering Fountains senior living center in Laguna Woods! We will meet at the church at 11:00am and carpool to the Stater Bros. parking lot and walk up to Whispering Fountains. It’s about a ten minute walk. We will joyfully sing for the residents for about 45 minutes and pass out Christmas cookies during their special Christmas event. We will begin singing at 11:30am.  \nNo singing experience is required! Trained singers and shower singers are all welcome alike. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we volunteer at the Southern California processing center for Operation Christmas Child on Monday\, December 5th! We will be carefully inspecting Christmas shoeboxes\, packing them and preparing them for their overseas shipment. \nContact Pastor Nate here to get involved or sign up at the outreach table on the patio on Sunday! \n  \n\nInstructions & Information\nOur shift will be from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Our goal is to arrive at the processing center early so that there’s time for everyone to check-in. This means we will be meeting at the church at 5:00pm and leaving shortly thereafter. If you can’t make it to the church on time and would like to meet us there\, this is okay as long as you are at the processing center no later than 6:45pm. \nPlease read below. These are important things for you to be aware of for our visit to the OCC Processing Center. If you have any questions or concerns\, please reach out to me. Thanks so much for wanting to volunteer! \n– Nate | nate@ccpacifichills.org \n  \n\nTASKS\nWe will be responsible for removing financial contributions from the shoeboxes\, inspecting the gifts\, sorting inappropriate items\, working with filler items\, separating boxes by age and gender\, and boxing shoeboxes in designated cartons. Due to the fast-paced environment of the warehouse and changing needs\, you may be asked to do different tasks. Please be flexible. \nAGE\nDue to the warehouse environment\, all volunteers must be at least 13 years of age\, regardless of a student’s grade level. \nWHAT TO WEAR\nIt is best to be prepared with closed-toe shoes appropriate for standing for long periods\, and warm\, layered\, casual clothes as the temperature inside can vary. Breaks are available as needed. \nFOOD\nA break area in the processing center has vending machines and space to store your meals and snacks. Ice is not provided; however\, you may bring your own coolers. All food and drinks must remain inside the break area. Please be advised that tobacco products are prohibited on the property. \n\n\nCARPOOLING\nPastor Nate will have room in the church SUV for about six people. We will need others to use their vehicle for carpooling if there should be more than that leaving from the church. DESCRIPTION:Join us in the early morning as we serve at the OC Rescue Mission on Thursday\, November 17! Orange County Rescue Mission has a number of programs through which they serve the Least\, the Last\, and the Lost. The primary focus of each program is to share the love of Jesus Christ with each man\, woman\, and child who comes to them for a hand up out of homelessness. \nWe will be serving early in the morning at OC Rescue from 5:30am-8:30am. We will be meeting at OC Rescue Mission at 5:00am. We will be serving in their kitchen prepping breakfast and then serving that breakfast to their shelter residents. \nCarpooling is encouraged as OC Rescue’s parking is limited. \n\nDate & Time\nThursday\, November 17 (Early Morning)\nMeeting at OC Rescue Mission: 5:00am\nVolunteer Window: 5:30am – 8:30am \n\n\nLocation\nOne Hope Drive\nTustin\, CA 92782 \n\nTo sign up\, please email Pastor Nate here.\nSee below for helpful information before joining us in volunteering!\n  \n\n  \n\nServing at the OC Rescue Mission:\n \nKitchen safety video:\n \n\n\nSafety & Attire:\n\nKeep all personal items (i.e.\, bags\, backpacks\, etc.) at home\, work\, or in your cars.\nGood personal hygiene is required (i.e. clean clothing\, no long/artificial fingernails\, open\ncuts/wounds).\nIf you have been sick within the last 24 hours\, you will not be permitted to work around\nfood\, utensils\, and kitchen equipment.\nNo open-toed shoes (i.e. flip-flops\, slippers\, sandals\, high-heels\, wedges\, pumps\, platforms).\nSlip-resistant\, closed-toe shoes or athletic/walking shoes are required.\nNo low-cut or sleeveless shirts (i.e. halters\, mid-drift/cropped\, tank tops).\nNo shorts\, dresses\, or skirts.\nKitchen clothing will be provided upon request (i.e. shirt\, apron).\nNo dangling or long jewelry (i.e. earrings\, necklaces\, watches\, bracelets).\nAll long hair needs to be pulled back and tied up (for both men and women).\n\n\nPlease read through this Kitchen Volunteer Safety Checklist before attending the outreach. SUMMARY:Women's 10-Week Study
DESCRIPTION:Ladies are invited to join our Women’s Ministry for a 10-week book study through The Women of the Bible Speak – The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today by Shannon Bream. Join other women as we explore biblical content while discovering the stories and challenges of women in the bible.  Our format includes a brief large group session\, followed by small group discussion.  It’s a perfect opportunity to gather with women while learning what God has taught us through the lives of biblical figures. They will meet weekly on Thursdays\, from 10:00-11:30 AM.  There is childcare available and the registration is $15.00 (which includes all materials). Register below! \n\nMeeting Thursdays from September 8 to November 10\, from 10-11:30 AM. \n\n\nMaterials are available for pick up on Sundays during regular service hours\, and Mon – Thurs 9:00 – 4:30pm. \n\n\nChildcare will be provided. \n\n\nIf you are joining us with a friend\, and would like to request being in the same group\, please do so when registering.\n\n
