SUMMARY:Friendship Shelter Outreach
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, March 1st to make and serve food at the Friendship Shelter in Laguna Beach! The Friendship Shelter is residential shelter for homeless adults and works with its residents to secure housing and employment or other income. This is an amazing opportunity for individuals or the whole family to serve our community. We will meet at the shelter at 5:00pm to begin dinner prep. There is a parking lot directly adjacent to the shelter that you can park in. The address is below as well as brief directions from Pacific Coast Highway. The outreach will last two to three hours roughly.  \nAddress: 1335 S Coast Hwy\, Laguna Beach\, CA 92651 \nDirections: \n\nTurn onto Mountain Rd. from Pacific Coast Highway\nTurn right onto Gaviota Dr.\nTurn right into the parking lot next to the two-story\, white building (which is the Friendship Shelter)\n\nTo sign up\, please email Pastor Nate (nate@ccpacifichills.org) or call him at the church at (949) 362-7475 Ext. 27. Read below for additional details: \n\nTASKS: We will be preparing food for approximately 25 residents of the Friendship shelter. Duties will be assigned the day of the event. Tasks could include things like cooking meat\, chopping various vegetables\, setting up the food bar\, or simply talking to and hanging out with the residents. \nAGE: Children seven years of age or older are welcome to serve alongside their parents at the shelter. You must know where your children are at all times during our visit. Please keep in mind that there are different residents every time we visit and that we can’t guarantee any level of safety around said residents.  \nWHAT TO WEAR: It is best to be prepared with closed-toe shoes appropriate for standing for long periods and clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Breaks are available if needed. \nFOOD: All food that we will be preparing and serving will be provided by Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills. After the food has been prepared and all shelter residents have been served dinner\, Pacific Hills volunteers may eat if they would like to. \nPLEASE NOTE: Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills is not responsible for the damage or loss of personal items including\, but not limited to purses\, wallets\, jewelry\, cell phones and vehicles.

DESCRIPTION:Mexico Missions Team Trip to Casa Orphanage- The team visits the orphanage monthly and is committed to supporting the children in their spiritual development through a children’s church style format. As time permits\, we also assist in teaching the children basic English and perform repairs at the orphanage. On trip day\, we meet at the CCPH parking lot at 7:45 AM\, leave from Pacific Hills at 8:00 AM sharp\, then car-pool to Casa Hogar Belen orphanage in Tijuana\, MX.
