Almost everyone knows that kids who attend church enjoy music, sing songs, see visuals, hear stories, play games, develop friendships, and experience a loving environment. Yet, not everyone understands that the greatest life-changing attribute of Children’s Ministry is the capacity to impart truths at every turn. These Bible truths are alive and active in the hearts and minds of our kids, and people who know are sharing and demonstrating each one. People who know that songs, pictures, stories, games, friendships, and even a loving environment are only tools, and cannot replace the truths that will grow each child into becoming a balanced believer, and a believer who will later share those truths with others. Our volunteers are men, women and youth who respond to a special call; a call to affect lives forever. Children’s Ministry is a unique ministry where the ultimate outcome is not always witnessed, but certain in its potential. If God is calling you to share your time, knowledge, and effort for kids in our church community, please join us in ministry. There are many teams you can be a part of, and various time commitments throughout the week. The opportunities are not limited to Sunday morning teaching. There are many areas you can serve that contribute to that very moment when a child becomes aware of his/her own calling to become a “fisher of men.”

My Mission: Mercy Ministries Foundation (Christian Happy Homes) is a Thai based organization dedicated to fulfilling the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ while caring for the fatherless and discipling them in order that they may learn to show the love and grace of our Lord to others.

My Ministry: At Christian Happy Homes, we endeavor to provide orphans with a stable, loving home life and education (James 1:27). We also teach them the ways of the Lord as we raise them, beginning at the earliest ages (Eph. 6:4). As the children continue to grow physically and spiritually we begin preparing and equipping them for the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). Our vision for the children at CHH is fulfilled when we are able to send them out with the Lord’s call on their heart to declare the gospel of salvation in their home villages, occupations, and in any other way that the Lord may lead (Mark 16:15).

Our Mission: Bringing the Gospel to those who have never heard in the urban centers of East Asia through a community ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

Our Ministry: We reach out to the families and young professionals in the local community through teaching home Bible studies for families, men’s and women’s discipleship groups, and small group investigative Bible studies for seekers. We build relationships with people in local English clubs, schools and businesses, and through these relationships share the Gospel. My Mission: I help young people to know Christ and equip them to live out their faith. I work with street/at risk and orphaned children with an Ukrainian organization that rehabilitates children in a Christian, holistic atmosphere.

My Ministry: For the past 8 years, I have ministered to children abandoned by their parents and their governmental social structures. I have learned that God truly is the “father of the fatherless” (Psalms 68:5) I want to help these children know God as their father and to model this in the local community.

Our Mission: To lead the Japanese to a saving faith in Christ Jesus as we pastor at our new church, Grace Chapel Taketoyo and do outreaches in the community.

Our Ministry: As a Pastor’s wife, I am called to support my husband, Noboru as he teaches the Word of God. I am also responsible for leading the women and encouraging them in their walk with Christ and I am involved with Fellowship Counseling (counseling women as we walk with Jesus together). I reach out to the people through English Bible classes in the church.

Jeff Henneforth Missionary in Cambodia

My Mission: Serving in Poipet, Cambodia to teach God’s Word to village pastors & disciple them so they’ll have solid Bible teaching churches & are able to spread the Gospel through Cambodia.

My Ministry: I will serve as the lead for a new Bible school for village pastors and Cambodia youth desiring to become pastors. I’ll be working with the Cambodian Hope Organization (CHO) as an International Advisor. My responsibilities include establishing a curriculum, teaching, and scheduling/coaching other pastors and teaching teams from the West as they come in for short term trips.

Prayer Requests:

Pray that I will develop vibrant, healthy relationships with the village pastors, CHO staff, local community, and other missionaries
Pray that I will be able to quickly learn the language (Khmer has 77 characters in their alphabet—the longest in the world!), including reading and writing
For wisdom in developing curriculum
Pray that I can learn the culture to effectively teach within it and for humility (for me) and grace (from the people) as I serve as a new missionary
Pray for the provision of the school facilities; & to be built in God’s timing
Pray for pastors & teachers to come and help & for me to bless, prepare, and coach them as they come

Our Mission: To bring God’s Word and Gospel back to the people and to help establish Calvary Chapel abroad. As the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Swansea in which we hope to fulfill the great commission by reaching out to people to bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then to bring them to spiritual health and maturity unto effective service. He is also the Director of Next Generation which was founded in 1997 in the UK which reaches out to young people in a variety of ways.

Our Ministry: As a Church we do regular community outreaches in various forms, teach the bible, and make relevant application to their lives. Next Generation plans and organizes events such Conferences, camps, and works alongside other ministries to do the same. Every year we also organize the youth and children’s ministry for the annual Teach the Word in Oxford.

Cal & Jessica Stuebner Missionaries to Nicaragua

My Mission: To minister to the people of Barrio Santa Ana in Managua Nicaragua. To raise up and disciple leaders in the church of Calvary Chapel Managua and to minister to the missionaries who come to help.

My Ministry: My first trip to Nicaragua was in 1999. After some trips to Africa and other places the Lord has been very good in allowing me to stay in Managua since 2003. I am now the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Managua and rejoice to see how the Lord is raising up leaders and saving people in our neighborhood.

Prayer Requests:  For the Lord to continue to raise up leaders and build us into a strong team

 For the children to come to know the Lord through the school and Awana club

 For wisdom and discernment to pastor the church

 For the Lord to continue to bring missionaries to come along side us as helpers
